Hi everyone,
Wanted to write a quick note to let you all know our Christmas may not have been exactly as we planned it, but we were so glad to have some of you able to come. We sure enjoyed having you. Of course it was a real treat to see baby Emma again. She is getting so big and smiley. Alex spent a lot of time putting a blanket over her, cause obviously babies are supposed to be covered! Won't be so long and she will be chasing around like the twins. So, thanks David and Jill for being courageous enough to brave a S. D blizzard to fly in; and thanks to Jeannie and Jason who picked them up, gave them a place to sleep, and drove in Saturday's not so nice weather to our place. Good thing Dave and Melissa and crew don't have too far to come to these things. Of course, I am sure Zach would have brought everyone from anywhere on his snowmobile. Hope you are all rested up and recovered from the celebrating! None of us will forget this Christmas!
We missed your families, Terry and Bobbie. Hopefully, we'll see each other before too much more time passes. (Weather permitting). The white elephant went quite well this year. No sign of the owl, though. Guess we have his home narrowed down a little bit, huh?
Anyway, Merry Christmas to you all, we are blessed to have such responsible, caring kids.
Who would have known 20 years ago when you were pounding each other to a pulp, that you would have grown up so well! Love, Mom

Thanks for the nice note, Mom!
We were sad to not be there, but I am really glad that at least most of you were able to safely make it. I have one very important question.......so, who ran the White Elephant Exchange? Have I been replaced?! Ha.
Jeannie and Jill....I'll put the girls' gifts in the mail. Not the way I wanted to give them their Christmas presents, but this will just spread the holiday cheer out longer, which is kind of fun.
Anyway, would LOVE to see some pictures on here or on Snapfish from the weekend! Hint, hint.
Miss you all!
We were so glad we made it home to SD for Christmas! It was stressful flying with Emma for the 1st time, but absolutely worth it! Thanks so much to the Thurstons for driving so safely and hosting us at their house for a couple of days. I don't know how you two do it! You're amazing!
No worries Bobbie, we'll let you have your position back next year. We all worked together to come up with the W.E. exchange rules. I will try to get pics posted this weekend.
Mom thanks for the beautiful post. I am such a sap! We love you all and can't wait for Emma to meet the rest of the family!
