Yeah! Where IS everyone?

I was worried that my family had ditched me and started another blog without telling me! Thanks to the "commish" and his family for keeping the blog going! I can't whine too much since I am usually the slacker on the blog! I'm not really a slacker, there's just not alot to post about our lives here in the big Sin City. Hard to believe, I know! We actually had an interesting weekend so I'll bore you with that. Saturday we took David's pickup for an oil change. (I know that's so exciting to you all!) After a 3 hour wait it was finally ready and the tech got in and put it into gear and went forward instead of reverse! Luckily, there were tires in front of the the wall with all the tools, so there was less damage, but it still made a lovely crunch! It was quite the ordeal because the manager refused (per company policy) to write an incident report! We ended up leaving after about 45 min. of arguing with him and talking to other "higher ups" who also said they do not have to write an incident report! Our insurance company has now taken over and it's being inspected by an actual body shop. We're crossing our fingers that we will not come out of pocket, but it's unknown right now. Sunday was a much better day! David went to the Las Vegas 51s baseball game. They are the Dodger's Triple A team. His company has season tickets and he stayed for the Meet and Greet with the players after the game. He chatted and got autographs. I didn't go to the game because I actually had plans! The girls and I met at a new martini bar for drinks and went to the Sex and the City movie. Both were awesome! Anyhoo...that's the excitement for us! I did get my diploma this weekend to so I thought I'd show you the evidence. I guess I could also show the student loan statement as proof, too!

Love and miss you all!

Jill

Congrats Jilly Bean! That's an accomplishment far and above my capabilities (not going to the martini bar, but getting your master's degree).

Bobbie will be jealous you saw the Sex and the City movie -- she wants to see that BAD. Must be a female thing. She's trying to line up a movie outing for us for father's day, but I highly doubt that's going to be my movie of choice.

Actually, the moving outing is in honor of his BIRTHDAY, which is Friday! Perhaps if we go to the martini bar first, he won't mind what the heck kind of movie we go to! ;)

Hey Jill....what's the status of your guys' summer trip to SD?

Hi guys, glad to hear from you again. Hope you've been able to resolve the pickup issue by now. Sounds like an episode of " if we didn't have bad luck, we'd have no luck at all". (or a good reason to go to the martini bar!!)

Not too much exciting here, it seems like I spend my life at work. Since the new computer system went in I figure I now take 2-21/2 hrs longer to chart and put the data in I need to. Plus the whole place has had some virus go through staff and residents so have had people circling through the clinic and ER on a continuous basis. We are all coughing and hacking-- it's disgusting!! Have 3 days off now so I'm hoping it has run it's course by the time I'm back on Mon.

We are camping at Pease Creek with some of our horse riding couple group this weekend. Have really been looking forward to this. Sounds like part of the trail is underwater as the river is high due to the excess rain we have been having. Will have to pick and choose where we ride. Hopefully there will be no wrecks this weekend.

Will add more to the blog later, I had better go do chores and some stuff before I need to pack up stuff. Have a great weekend! Love Mom
