I'm back from my five-day bike tour. Fun was had by all, except for one gentlemen who ran into a road sign on day 3 and had to be ambulanced to the nearest hospital. This photo was taken as we rode through the Nebraska sandhills on Day 2. Beautiful country! 60 miles of riding and no towns. We rode into a 15 mph headwind the whole way, so it was a tough day. But, other than that -- it was relatively flat, wind-less and cool. Highs in the 80s, lows in the 60s -- can't ask for much better than that.
After five days of tenting, I'm ready for the comforts of home. And I miss Kade (and Bobbie too!).

The photo from the tour looks very serene. I'll try and picture it the next time I take the cycling class at the gym. It's much better than looking in the mirror or at the clock!
Congrats on the tour! It sounds like a great time! I'm sure Kade (and Bobbie) missed you while you were gone.
I think he was held up in an air conditioned hotel for a few days as this pictures looks quite similar to a field near Geddes. Didn't you go for a bike ride the last time you were home. Hmmm, all too fishy to me. Just kidding, sounds like you had some fun! You have more energy than me!
Wow- 5 days on a bike sounds like hero status to me. If it was on a horse I could probably understand it! Glad you had a good time, Kevin. My boss also had a great time during the tour dekota (sp?) even though they battled a stiff head wind most of the days she rode. Does make one appreciate things like showers and clean beds. We will enjoy that experience when we go to the wagon train thing in Aug. Am really looking forward to that-- hope it's not 100+ degrees during those two weeks. Love, Mom
