Hard up for entertainment

On my walk with Abbey tonight I came across some large, suspicious looking animal tracks. I thought -- could it be a mountain lion? So like any good protective husband, I drug the wife and young son out into the frigid night air for further investigation.

Armed with nothing but a flashlight, tape measure and semi-loyal black lab, I captured this photo. The rest of the research team thinks it is a measly dog track (made by our own Abbey from the
morning walk).

I'm not ruling out a sinister mountain lion stalking our neighborhood...

So--how big was this track?? Did Abby's paw match it?? Apparently it wasn't hungry, at least while you were investigating!

Actually, the paw measured 4 1/2 inches long. Abbey's paws are big but not that big. It wasn't enough to convince my research team, though.

About the hungry part -- that was Abbey's role. She was the "bait" while we all would have run for cover.

Mom Kriz...anything you make is wonderful! I am sure Terry would love some creamed eggs over toast :) I will bring some stuff to snack on... We can't wait to see everyone!
