Wow, we are sisters. Isabella and I colored easter eggs tonight as well. It was a blast! We had stickers and paint on top of our coloring. Easter eggs have been brought to a whole other level.
Mom, remember when you showed us how to blow out the eggs so we could make a easter egg tree. That was cool.
I was thinking about my Easter memories today. I remember going to Norma and Jerry's farm and hunting eggs w/Grandpa Sip. We really need to start getting together for more holidays. I miss everyone!
Me too! I especially miss Easter! Although I really enjoyed the Easter egg decorating and hiding, I also remember Sunrise services, getting the whole herd of sleepy kids up, dressed and to church by 6:30-- Remember Pastor Tom's stripped church with the darkened windows? That was always awesome to see the light and colors come back.
Will be thinking of you all tomorrow AM-- Happy Easter! Mom
Hi all. Posting that picture was my attempt at NOT seeming so homesick, as I already cried yesterday, yes....cried!
My favorite Easter memory is of hunting eggs in the meadow by Norma and Jerry's house. Jeannie, maybe we can bring our plastic eggs home in two weeks and hide them outside for the kids. The bunny could just make a special visit to the farm since we're going to be around!
Mom, I also always really liked what Pastor Tom did with the church by darkening it and letting in the light on Easter. That really was a powerful way to show the meaning of the holiday.
Happy Easter to all of you also! Wow, I thought I was supposed to be the emotional one right now! I also think of Pastor Tom and the Maundy Thursday service where he darkened the church. I also remember Pastor Spahr, I think, and the year he was late for sunrise services because he forgot about the time change! I also remember Bobbie, Terry, and I going to a dance in Fairfax and arriving home a few hours before that 6:30 service, and you know... We went to church, then to IHOP with David's mom, and now we are sitting at home doing nothing while the all white hard boiled eggs sit in the fridge. I have had a bad cold this week and did not feel the mood to color eggs. :( I miss you all terribly, but hearing the weather reports the last few weeks has not made me miss the weather! I hope you are staying dry and warm. Summer will be there soon, right? When is everyone going to the farm? I'm guessing it's the first weekend in may since tickets are cheap that weekend and I have jury duty!I have 2 personal days to use up before June and I was looking into a long weekend in May. What about Memorial Day weekend? Love to you all! Jill
Hi Jill! Thanks for bringing up Fairfax.....that always brings a smile to my face. I hope we are still telling that story when we are in our 80s, because it's just too funny.

We miss you all too. It's going to be a quiet one here with just Taylor, Darc, Ter and I.
Cute picture Bobbie! See you in a couple of weeks.
Thanks for the beautiful bouquet of flowers. What a lovely surprise.
Spring is finally here!
