Yep -- it's cold. What else is new.I've officially hit the wall of winter. It usually doesn't happen for me until February. But with December being unusually cold and now this two-plus week artic blast in January, I've officially had it. (Ask Bobbie -- she can attest.)
It's this time of year I question why we live in this part of the country. I can't help but think that there's guys right now enjoying 60-70 degree weather in some parts of this country.
But not here. We're stuck with watching TV for the umpteenth night in a row and playing indoor "hockey" in the basement. Call me a weenie. But with each year that passes, the cold gets harder to deal with, I tell ya.
(Jill/David -- you still need to move back.)

Hang in there Kevin-- Feb. is on the way and then spring isn't too far away. I personally love the seed books this time of year. All those perfect garden pictures and not a weed or insect in sight. One almost forgets the sore muscles and dead plants that last year produced!!
And then there is the chance to work on yet another quilt pattern. Never enough time for that, although if there was it would probably be "work".
Best of all has been the baby feeding and cuddling and Isabella playing this past week or so. Certainly has made the January weeks go past quickly. Sounds like the twins might come home tomorrow so I will be there bright an early tomorrow morning as not to miss anything!!
Isabella was really ill last weekend, 104 temp, cough and vomiting Sat and Sun. night. I really forgot how helpless you feel at 3 AM when a sick kid looks sicker in spite of the antibiotic and all other measures. Jeannie
's my hero, pumping milk q 4 hours, comforting Isabella and running to the hospital to cuddle the twins. Was glad I could spell her with Isabella a bit.
Anyway, Kevin, if winter boredom gets too bad, I think Jason and Jeannie will let you borrow a baby for an hour or too. They are really cute!!
Oh well, think I had better go to bed. Might be a bit short of sleep over the next week or so!!
Love, Mom
OK...I will have to tell you...YOU ARE A WEENIE Kev! There...does that make you feel better :)
Thank you, Tammy! Someone other than me had to say it. :-)
This type of attitude in January from Kevin is about as predictable as the sun rising in the east and setting in the west. He does this every year!
In August, he will discuss how hot, humid and miserable it is here and how we could be living somewhere more enjoyable.
But he's quite pleasant in the spring and fall. :-)
It's kind of a cute quirk, Kevin. One by which I could almost set my watch to. Hugs and kisses!
Sharon -- you sound far more content than I with the cold.
Tammy -- you are correct, I am a weenie!
My lovely bride -- your unbridled compassion warms me through the harshest of winters.
