Thurston Update

Hey There Everyone!

I know, I know it is about time. It has been a while since I have put anything out here. So, I have some catching up to do. I thought I would post some pictures of the twins birthday party, and best of all there biggest birthday present yet. I can officially say we now have big girls.

The party was a blast we had 20 little kids and lots of parents. We only had one casualty. Our neighbor broke her hand. This is the second party we have had that someone has broken something. We are going to disclaimer that parents can no longer play on the fun kid things. The twins had fun, though and that is all that matters.

This weekend they got their birthday present from Jason and I. We decided it was time for them to get big girl beds. So, they got bunk bends. They have been a hit, and their big sister is quite jealous. We did tell her she could have bunk beds for her next birthday if she wanted to give up her dreams of getting a dog, but she is holding on to the dog dream.

We can also officially say that Alexandra is officially potty trained. She has been wearing big girl panties all weekend. Woo Hoo! Addy could care less that she is the only one left, so we will see how long that takes.

Okay, I am rambling. I wish all of you a happy January. I hope you are staying dry and warm. Can't wait until we all get together again.

ps. Mom I don't know what to do with Bella's flower. It is growing, but no flowers. I think it is about ready to break off.

Growing Grandkids

Hey guys,

Great job on the amaryllis all of you. (except for Bella, and I am sure hers is growing too!)

I think I should review the prize catagories:
1. First plant to bloom- 10$
2. Tallest plant- $5
3. Plant with the most blooms $10
4. Slowest, laziest plant growing- 5$
Oh yes---5. Plant with the biggest flower- $5

If I think of more catagories, I'll let you know! It is possible to win more than 1 catagory. Anyway, even if your plant doesn't win, you have still won by having a nice bright flower to enjoy during this cold, snowy, black and white time of year.

Well mine is about to bloom and I have another shoot thingy growing. So its going pretty good I guess!

Taylor's Amaryliss Update...

We can't just let Kade brag about his Amaryliss, Taylor and I were beginning to think we were doing somthing wrong until about Christmas week when lil miss amaryliss decided to come out of her shell...or should we say bulb :). Today 1/10/2011 she is at 9" - measuring from the start of the growth to top. So...we are not throwing the towel in yet.

PS: We got another 6 " today of snow and a couple suppose to come tonight to add to about are 2-3 feet already on the ground!!

Amaryllis Update and Other Stuff

Hi all. Kade just wanted to report on the status of his amaryllis. It is FINALLY taking off. I've also included a couple of quick pictures from skating at the farm over Christmas.

Hope you are all doing well and staying warm. We've had our first real snowfall today; they are predicting up to 9 inches by tomorrow, but I highly doubt that is going to happen. At least the wind is relatively minor, so no blizzard conditions.
