Big Snow Storm Moving In....
Ter and his buds are leaving dodge earlier then anticipated :(
They don't want to get snowed in - Marshall MN
They are packed and ready...can't wait to hear all the story's when they return.
Good thing I do not know what's going on there...like riding on the edge of cliffs etc...
Yikes...what ever happened to joy riding and taking in the scenery.
Darc and I are on our own to shovel the driveway...:(

Alexandra's surgery postponed
Alexandra's surgery has been postponed. Her eye has been clear for 3 weeks, so we decided to wait and see. Our nurse said this happens regularly. She couldn't have had the surgery anyway because the twins have had RSV since Saturday. Alex's eye has stayed clear through this sick period so we are hoping she can forgo the surgery.

Long time no type!
Well hello all! I know all of you have been signing in everyday and dealing with the extreme disappointment of not seeing a post from good ol' VD. Fret no more! For I am here to quench your insatiable desire to be entertained! ( no offense Kevin ) However, my return to the blog will solely depend on your participation in this post. My appearances though few and far between, are valuable and I will not waste my precious time blogging where unwanted. I mean I could be on the couch with a big bag of chips or some other sort of life shortening blissfully sweet and tangy snack product. But enough about me.
We made our first ultra sound visit today! WOW!!!! I never knew I had those kinds of emotions. It was like nothing I have ever felt before. We saw and heard the baby's heart beat! He (or she) is so little, yet so much more developed than we imagined. Looking at Jill's face during the process said it all. I was all flush! Thinking back on my life, remembering some not so good days, I never in a million years could have dreamed that this day would come. Yet here we are. Does it get any better? Thinking about all the great times I have already shared with the Kriz family, I say it does. I find myself daydreaming of the day when we bring our child to the farm, to introduce him (or her LOL) to all of you, and to the amazing world that the Kriz family farm has to offer. I truly can't wait!
Anyway, I should sign off now. I have a bag of chips and a basketball game to tend to. (with a pregnant wife running around here now...I better hurry to those chips! Oh man....I'm gonna get so busted! P.S. What kind of gaurantee does that guess the sex thing come with Dave?

Big Horn Mountains...here comes Ter...
Yes...he leaves Thursday morning early through Monday for his snowmobile trip. As most of you well know...he has had two hefty repairs to this snowmobile after his annual snowmobile trip. So this year...I instructed him to push it over the mountain if something blows up. Probably something an insurance agent shouldn't tell one to do right?! I don't think we have another repair budgeted in our Financial Peace as Jeannie and Jason can relate!!
I will miss him, but he has such a great time and the pictures he comes back with are absolutely beautiful. If we were going to just ride leasurely out there I would go, but after some of the stories I have heard, it's not quite like that. Go figure :)
We had a wonderful time with dad and mom Kriz...it just went way to fast...it was so great it worked out that is was a Tay weekend, she would have been terribly bummed if she had not been here. Mom, you truly amaze me, you work so hard, and are so talented with your crafts, quilting and yet you time find for the farm and your passion of riding. We hope you two will find the horse trailer of your dreams, as you two both deserve to enjoy that after all your years of hard work.
We hope to get back to the farm in April sometime, March has quickly filled up for us. Cole my 2nd grandson turns 1 year already, boy time sure flys as you all well know.
Thinkin of you all...Jilly Bean...Il Divo is suppose to be coming to Vegas on their tour, I would sure like to swing tickets and a trip - but probably not. Maybe you can attend for me :) Hope you are feeling well, we are so excited for you and VD.
Hope all the Kriz's are doing well and staying warm...Spring is around the corner!

Just sharing a quiet afternoon
Hi, guys,
It's a nice quiet afternoon and I could do some cobweb work, but this sounds better! Life continues on it's usual way this time of the year. Dave and Dad are busy with the ewe maturnity ward- which is full and overflowing. I think Rachael has about a dozen bottle lambs she is doing chores with, at least at last count. I still think lambs are my favorite little animal. They really do look like the Easter pictures and make one think spring is coming!
Some of you know that the farm has aquired a new (to us) truck for grain & etc. hauling (with more axles so no one has to worry so much about overload stops). Of course a part of my brain knows very well that they'll just put more on and probably still have to worry. Dad and I went to Minnesota last weekend to check it out. Dad and Terry went on from Marshall to look at it and I enjoyed hanging out with Tammy and Taylor ( and the fabric shop) while they were gone. Enjoyed the weekend tremendously, so thanks Tammy and Ter, and I truly hope you guys didn't catch my cold as a result of your hospitality!
Of course we were pretty excited to hear the grandkid situation is on the increase again. Jill and Dave, we were kind of expecting that some where along the line. I am paging through books looking for a baby quilt I like. If I find a candidate I'll send you a picture. Should I stick to shades of Jill's favorite lavender/purple?? Picking the fabrics is almost as much fun as sewing them.
Tammy, I haven't started on the fabric we found yet. I have to talk to Shirley about one part of that pattern I haven't figured out yet. So today, I'm just messing around with scrap fabric, and not really accomplishing anything.
Bobbie, I need a shopping trip!! Let me explain-- we had a nurses meeting yesterday and the biggie topic was a new dress code. It seem we are not allowed to wear denium of any type either at work, when teaching or even when representing the facility at workshops, etc. This pretty much leaves me with two pair of pants (both inheirited from Jeannie) for my teaching days. Both of them may well touch the floor which is another no no. Getting pretty darn picky I think. There were of course, lot of other stuff, but since I am not into tight tops, low necklines, and noserings I'm probably ok there. This includes all the office people, ward clerks, bosses and cleaning people. I guess they let the maintenance guys keep their jeans. Unfortunately they didn't give us a raise so we can buy new clothes, although they would like us to write our congressmen so we get an appropriate share of Obama's incentive $ to the state!
Jeez, didn't mean to get on the old soapbox!! Nothing much else to tell. Work continues the same although have been pretty busy with diabetic education-- lots of 40-50 yr old clients this past 2 months. Need to get my trainee ready to do some of this. Hope you are all hanging in there waiting for warmer weather. Kevin, I'm with you this year-- It can't come soon enough!!
Love, Mom

Alex needs surgery
Alexandra is scheduled to have surgery on her left eye on Feb. 24. The surgery is to open her left tear duct. We saw a specialist yesterday and he said that she needed surgery to fix the tear duct. It should be a fairly short procedure, but there are the usual dangers of anesthesia on a small child. Jeannie and I know the operation will be successful so we don't want anybody to worry (that's our job) . Just in case, keep Alex in your prayers. Thanks, Jason

Quick Multiplication Lesson...
So, we have really been working hard on learning multiplication in 3rd grade, and I'm ready to move on to geometry, but from all of the comments on Dave's post it looks as though some of you Krizes need a refresher. Here's how it works: 2x2=4. Very easy and simple, huh? Still don't understand? Well, some crazy Kriz came up with this amusing thing called the 2 year plan, and that means that 1 baby is born and 2 years later another hatches. So, back to math: 1 baby per 2 years, 1x2=2, therefore 2 babies=4 years. God bless you Jeannie and Jason for the cuties you have, but let's look at the facts, having twins means that the next baby isn't due for 4 years (3 years now that they are 1). Thanks to all of you who have attempted the math problem, but you need to keep practicing! :) And a really big SARCASTIC thanks to those of you (Kevin) who have reminded me that I'm not getting younger! I feel the love!

IM BACK
Wow! Its been a while since I been on. Looks like I missed a lot. First I'm glad you still have your job Terry. Cant imagine how hard that must have been on you guys. Jill I'm sure they were only looking for the best teachers in Vegas to interview. Good luck with that. This economy thing is a real bummer. Kade looks pretty good on skates. Might be a good event for next years Christmas if it works out. Sorry we didn't make it to the twins birthday party, looks they were having fun. Makes me think its time for somebody to keep the two year plan going. Pressure!
Well we had a few activities in January. Been going to a few of Rach's games. They have been doing pretty good, got fifth place in a tournament on Saturday. Zach and I went snowmobiling one weekend at the Black Hills. That was to much fun. We made it home in one piece, Zach thinks he should own one for next years trip. Jacob started 4h shooting sports last week. He shoots targets with a BB gun. They post scores and try to get into the state shoot. For the first shoot he did pretty good got four bulls eyes. I was asked to be the archery instructor. I'm thinking about it. Melissa has been running to Rach's ball games getting her from practice and keeping up with the other two. Other than that we started lambing last week. Its been going good so far.
Hope every one is doing well.
