I survived the bike tour

I'm back from my five-day bike tour. Fun was had by all, except for one gentlemen who ran into a road sign on day 3 and had to be ambulanced to the nearest hospital.

This photo was taken as we rode through the Nebraska sandhills on Day 2. Beautiful country! 60 miles of riding and no towns. We rode into a 15 mph headwind the whole way, so it was a tough day. But, other than that -- it was relatively flat, wind-less and cool. Highs in the 80s, lows in the 60s -- can't ask for much better than that.

After five days of tenting, I'm ready for the comforts of home. And I miss Kade (and Bobbie too!).

Vacation...

Well, David will probably not like that I posted this picture, but what he doesn't know won't hurt him! We spent the weekend in CA at a baby shower for his cousin Tony and April. They are always the hosts for family get togethers which means they have never hosted a small gathering! This was a co-ed baby shower and it was quite entertaining as the Tomminelli's always are! David and the other "adults" found out that they would starve if they had to rely on a baby bottle for their nourishment! It took close to 10 min. for the first person to finish. We had a good time, but it was as hot as Vegas there which is worse with all of their humidity.

We have booked our vacation. I will be home for 2 weeks, July 6-20, and David will be home July 13-20. I hope we can catch up with all of you for at least a day! I hope to also get to Aberdeen that first week to spend a day or two with my friend Lisa and maybe Becky too! I don't have any definite plans, but lots of ideas!

I love the posts with the kids (big and little)! Thanks for all of the pics!

Check this out...Leaders In Training

Taylor was here last week, so her and the other two neighbor girls decided to sign up at the YMCA for summer camp, to be Leaders in Training (LIT). They did a great job and had so much fun helping out the counselors.
You will have to double click on the picture to be able to read it.

Wow, it has been a while!

Well, I haven't visited in a while. There has been a whole lot of action. Congrats to Jilly, huge accomplishment! Happy B-day Kevin, your age looks good on you! David, well I had my discussion with you already.

Anyway, we have been good here. My loving husband through a little surprise party for me this afternoon. It was a good ole time we had cake, pizza and pop. Everything a lady trying to lose weight needs! It was a lot of fun. I think Bella was more surprised to see Grandma and Grandpa than me. It was awesome.

All of our girls are getting so big. Becky and Darcie where out baby-sitting last weekend and got some good pics of the girls I just couldn't resist sharing them. The twins are really starting to show their personalities. Alex is actually going to be the moodier of the two. Adelyn justs likes to be talked to every once in a while, but actually enjoys her alone time. As I write she is in her crib just talking away to the animals above.

Bella just accomplished her first on-stage performance. She offically completed her first year of VBS. She did very well, we only had one crying fit and one potty accident. She was so proud to be up on the stage next to her friend Alizah. I even think dad got a little teared up seeing his first born on the stage. Okay, I got a little teary eyed too. We are going to try out swimming lessons in a couple of weeks. Those I don't think we will have a problem with.
Well, I guess I am done boring you with our lives. I hope everyone is doing well. I can't wait to get together sometime this summer. We will be visting the Kriz Family Farms over the 4th, hope everyone else can make it!

I guess I better put the other two on here, also. Rachael is tubing and Jacob is relaxing.

Okay, since I figured out how to do this, here is a picture of Zach on his first day skiing. It took him a few time to finally get up on the water but he thinks he's figured it out. Melissa

Hello - here is the official picture of the injured. Of course the bandage is full of dirt now. He seems to be doing fine - he was out baling the next morning after surgery. Melissa

whoops

Wow, I almost forgot how to log in. Anyway just caught up on the blog so happy birthday Kevin and a big congrats to Jill. Its been a little crazy around here with ballgames, practices and a little time for farming.
Thought I better tell everyone I had a little accident to day. I smashed a couple of fingers against some tin and ended up in Mitchell at the er. Everything is OK still got ten fingers. I did cut a tendon in my little finger so tomorrow I have to go back and have it sewed back together. Doc said I will have a full movement back in six weeks. Its always exciting around here.
Hope everyone is doing will. Ooh by the way, there is more to the flat screen thing. Bob and Sharon is now running a motel. There is a TV in every room. If they put in a mini bar I'm going to start to worry.

Yeah! Where IS everyone?

I was worried that my family had ditched me and started another blog without telling me! Thanks to the "commish" and his family for keeping the blog going! I can't whine too much since I am usually the slacker on the blog! I'm not really a slacker, there's just not alot to post about our lives here in the big Sin City. Hard to believe, I know! We actually had an interesting weekend so I'll bore you with that. Saturday we took David's pickup for an oil change. (I know that's so exciting to you all!) After a 3 hour wait it was finally ready and the tech got in and put it into gear and went forward instead of reverse! Luckily, there were tires in front of the the wall with all the tools, so there was less damage, but it still made a lovely crunch! It was quite the ordeal because the manager refused (per company policy) to write an incident report! We ended up leaving after about 45 min. of arguing with him and talking to other "higher ups" who also said they do not have to write an incident report! Our insurance company has now taken over and it's being inspected by an actual body shop. We're crossing our fingers that we will not come out of pocket, but it's unknown right now. Sunday was a much better day! David went to the Las Vegas 51s baseball game. They are the Dodger's Triple A team. His company has season tickets and he stayed for the Meet and Greet with the players after the game. He chatted and got autographs. I didn't go to the game because I actually had plans! The girls and I met at a new martini bar for drinks and went to the Sex and the City movie. Both were awesome! Anyhoo...that's the excitement for us! I did get my diploma this weekend to so I thought I'd show you the evidence. I guess I could also show the student loan statement as proof, too!

Love and miss you all!

Jill

Where IS everyone?

What? Did the warmer temperatures make all of your fingers inoperable? What's going on out there? Surely someone has got some news.....

I heard a rumor about not one, but two, new flat screen TVs in place at the Kriz family homestead!? What's next....a bathroom with a shower? Tee hee hee.

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far. (almost summer, as of next Friday, anyway)

T-ball, cycling and running and horses...

I see inactivity has hit the blog -- guess the honeymoon is over and you'll have to put up with reading my updates :)

Kade had his first T-ball game Saturday. I had been warned by a co-worker that there would be some kids who would be rather remedial in throwing or hitting a ball off a tee. I wasn't prepared for this type of ineptness, though.

There were kids there that had no idea how to hold a bat, throw a ball or even how to wear a baseball hat. It was painfully obvious which kids were neglected when it came time for dad to play catch in the backyard. Some kids just didn't want to be there, but the parents probably felt obligated since, well, that's what boys are supposed to be into, right?

I went for a 40-mile solo bike ride on Sunday. I'm getting ready for the Tour De Nebraska in another week and a half. The TDN, as it's referred to, is 300+ mile, five-day bike tour. I did it last year, so I know what I'm in for. This year's route starts in St. Paul, so I'm catching a ride with another cyclist to the starting point. I hope we can avoid the stormy weather.

Bobbie ran a 10k in Lincoln on Saturday (I think it was a 10k). She said it was miserable -- very humid and windy. Apparently, several people were carted off in ambulances -- she was not one of them, thankfully.

Oh and Friday night, we went to the races -- horse races at Lincoln's State Fair Park! Kade had a great time as did Bobbie and I. As Bobbie said "It's a great family event as long as you can get past the smoking, drinking and gambling part" -- in other words, my kinda place! Bobbie was the only one who won a race -- $7 to win. I let Kade pick a couple horses for me, but he wasn't any better than me. Is it bad parenting to let your 4-year-old pick horses?

That is all for now -- toodles, everybody.
