220... 221 Whatever it takes...

For those that have seen the movie "Mr. Mom" you'll understand the title to this post. I am "Mr. Mom" this weekend as Bobbie jetted off to Washington D.C. for work.
What this translates to for the boys and spoiled black lab left behind is lots of pizza and popcorn in front of sports programming on television (and Abbey lounging in bed).
The photo at right would be far more accurate if the guy was in sweatpants with a stained T-shirt and Kade was standing on a chair helping me make his gourmet hot chocolate (a weekend morning staple).
The house takes on a certain "lived-in" look when Bobbie is gone -- it's not a pretty site. We usually kick it into high gear to get the place back to normal the day the boss is due back, though. We're not totally uncivilized.

Hey guys,

Sounds like your having a pretty male type of weekend--- well, except for the Mr. Mom duties!! Just letting you know those of us moms who spend some necessary time away from home really, really appreciate the extra effort husbands have to exert to keep things going at home. It always was with a feeling of being torn both ways between work and home when those situations occurred.

Home always feels great, even if it isn't exactly as we left it. Long as everyone survives with no scars----

Had a great weekend rocking babies and taking up space at Jeannie and Jason's. Those babies are really growing. Alex has chubby little cheeks and looks at the world with calm amazement most of the time. Addie is a little more confrontational and is careful to make sure you know she wants attention, preferably at once. Actually are eating and sleeping pretty reliably and take nice 4hr sleeps during the night. Isabella is getting extra cartoon time, but is really doing fine too. Was fun.

Hope everyone is well and no more flu episodes. Love, Mom
