Okay, I have been harassed long enough about the Marth Stewart pumpkin. I Know that you are all jealous that you could not create a masterpiece such as this. Just remember I am just warming up for next year. Kevin what is the address I should send the proof to once it is so rotted and smelly I can't stand to keep it here any longer.
Anyways, there is not much happening around here this week. Hope you are all having a good week. We are planning on having a weekend just to relax. Bobbie I think the Amazing Race starts on Sunday's so we may have to stay in touch on our favorites this year. Looks like there might be some good fights this year again.
Dave welcome to the blog. It sounds like it took the whole family and a partridge in a pare tree to figure it out. You can blame it all on Kevin. He did not officially send me an invitation either so I had to hack into the Kriz Family blog myself. It is amazing what one can do to keep up with the family happenings.
Lastly, Bobbie I would expect a plan from you on the annual Christmas happenings. I think we have the date decided on (Weekend of December 22nd) or at least I hope. You would not believe what I had to go through to make that happen. Anyway, White Elephant gifts?, plans for presents etc... Any suggestions on plans.
Talk to you all soon.

Here we are
Ha everyone we made it to the blog. I hope this works because I set this up all by myself. Well actually it is 9:40 I started at 7:30 Rach helped Melissa helped and finally I called Kevin and Bobbie. So if this work I will call it a success but maybe I did have some help. I wanted to give a big thumbs up to the newest performer of the family (Kade). I thought the rest of the singers should have learned the actions better. Terry I seen your blog and didnt know that walmart was selling carved pumpkins this year. Looks great! Other than that thanks to everyone that celebrate with us last weekend and hope all is well where you are.

A star is born
Kade performed with his pre-school (daycare) classmates a few Halloween songs on Sunday afternoon. After seeing his stage presence, his dad is convinced more than ever he will be the next Bruce Springsteen. His costume was going to be Batman, but he decided to go with the Green Bay Packers football outfit at the last second -- the helmet doesn't quite fit.

And the Great Pumpkin Carving winner is...
We'll make you wait for a second. Glad to see Jill FINALLY made it to the blog. That leaves just Melissa/Dave to sign up, then the family will be officially in cyberspace!
Thanks to Melissa and everybody else for the great Halloween bash. As usual, there was enough food to feed three armies (including a couple new kinds of soup.) Oh, and the Wild Turkey went down well too. Terry, there was plenty of Lord Calvert left over -- I guess that's because you weren't there to put a dent in the supply.
So the winner of the pumpkin carving contest was.... (drum roll
please....) ..... ... .. DAVE and LINDA BONDE! We can't remember if they've won it before. If they have, it's been a long time, so congrats to them. I should note, EVERYONE's pumpkin was different, including a snowman pumpkin from perennial favorites Bob/Sharon who partnered with Jeannie. There was a last minute partner trade as perennial losers Bobbie/Kevin broke up. Kevin teamed with Melissa and Bobbie went with Rachel.
As usual, fun was had by all. I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story...

The flea market was great. I bought six aluminum bats for $6 since one was Kade's size. He proceeded to take it pheasant hunting, thinking he was going to club a bird to death. City boy...
The pumpkin awards, if I can remember correctly were:
Most artistic: Bobbie/Rachel for their "scary tree" pumpkin (Bobbie was hampered without my creativity);
Tallest: Bob/Sharon/Jeannie for their triple-decker snowman pumpkin
Grossest: Melissa/Kevin for their "scary owl"
Scariest: Dave/Linda
Jason/Zach had a football helmet pumpkin and I'm not sure what the team of Dave/Jacob/Kade was awarded with but their pumpkin got crowd's sympathy vote.
As usual, fun was had by all. I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story...
(by the way, Vegas Dave, until you can show up with some game, you'll be considered the pumpkin carving rookie)
;)
blog from boring Las Vegans
Hi all, spooky greetings to you!
Wow! I would love to have time to do this at work! I am in the wrong profession. David and I are sad that we are not home this weekend, and we don't have pics to show of our awesome jack-o-lantern because we just bought a pumpkin! My husband, aka Mr. Competitive, wants you all to be prepared for second place when we finally do make it home for the carving party! I would like you to know that he also said the only way we were buying a pumpkin is if I do the carving this year. Yeah, that's enthusiasm, and I'm sure you are all scared of his talents. Anyhoo...I hope the flea market, hunting, and carving are all a great time.
Lots of love and Miss you all,
Jill and Vegas Dave (VD)

Winning Pumpkin Entry
Good evening Kriz klan. I am writing this from the comfort of my office at home. Tammy and I thought it fitting that since we could not be at the carving to submit ours via this blog. So please make sure that this gets in the mix for judging tonight. I know that we will miss the great goodies that are to be had at Dave and Melissa's, but if we win at least we wont have to be humiliated via wearing those costume masks.
And Now for the Winning Prize Pumpkin!!!!!!!

Look Who's Kicking
Hi Everyone!
Love the idea of the site. Hopefully, I will start unloading the pics out of my camera and adding them to this to share.
Here is the latest to share on the twins. This picture was taken last Wednesday. I can't believe how different they are going to look. Jason and I are still struggling coming up with names for these two little girls. I guess they want to keep us in debate up until the last minute. Their big sister still thinks baby dolls are going to come out of me. She is in for a big shock!
As for pumpkin carvin. We feel it is our year. I am even considering breaking out the obscene pumpkin carvings to get me ahead, or behind will see who the judges are this year.
I better get ready for the Flea Market. I love collecting other people's crap!

A hunting we will go...
The plan: Flea market in town, then pheasant hunting. We have an extra "dog" this year in the form of Kade. He's excited about the hunt, though my guess is he'll walk about 25 yards before requesting to be carried. I'm fully expecting him to freak out when at the sound of the first gun shot. We'll see...
Tammy, there are not one, but two boxes of wine this year!
Jeannie has that radiant glow about her (more radiant than her usual glow, of course). Bobbie is currently doing the dishes as I type this. Why can't I get her to do these things at home? ;)

Friday and Geddes-bound
The family will be departing the Big L around 1:30, assuming I'm packed. Taking off work a tad early so as to avoid driving in the dark. We're both getting too old for that. For those not going, (ahem Terry/Tammy, Jill/David) we will have a highlights or two (and of course lowlights) on here for ya.
Now where'd I stash that damn prize-winning pumpkin...

Can I Take Back My Vote??
To think I voted for you and Kevin.... Just kidding...we will par-take in the annual Kriz Pumpkin Carving via the blogg from Marshall MN!!
Have a great weekend!

Let's Overthrow Blog Commissioner Kevin
Hi all! My husband doesn't actually have any work to do at work, so you are all now blessed with his free time by being expected to post blogs on this site. He's marching around here telling me he is the "Blog Commissioner for Kriz Family Happenings" and that he has the power to boot me off this blog whenever he wants. So, I am posting this message in the hopes that you'll join me in a coup attempt. The power has gone to his head, and this blog is only one day old so there is no telling what he'll want to do next.
Ok, seriously, this might be kind of fun. Glad to see that Terry and Tammy have already joined in. Hope you guys can get some sleep with that prowler on the loose. Don't worry, Terry, I'm sure Tammy will protect you! Will miss you guys, as well as Jill and David, at the Pumpkin carving. I personally think you were just scared that we were going to beat you, so you had to come up with some excuse not to attend. I mean...church... couldn't you have come up with something better. Ha.
Miss you all!

Way Cool!
Of course I am on the net surfing away too :) I actually thought of doing a blog awhile back myself Kevin, we are so excited that you got it going! We won't be at pumpkin carving this year :( Terry and I were asked to usher at Church next Sunday about a month ago...of course we forgot until last week when they reminded us. So we are going to have our own little pumpkin carving with a couple of the neighbor kids, Tay and my son Dustin and his fiancee Jenny. Should be fun...but not like the Kriz Family pumpkin carving!
The latest news in Marshall MN...police are looking to catch whoever is "breaking and taking" in our area homes. Come to find out...last night our neighbors were not home and someone tried to break in. They climbed over their tall fence, tried to break into the back garage door and did not succeed, so they proceeded up to the deck and got in via the patio door. Something spooked them and they took off. Our local neighbor who knows everything as to what happens in our neighborhood called to inform me...that no one is to know of this incident until tomorrow. The neighbors are not home again this evening an the police are hoping whoever tried to break in last night will try again and they will catch them. Of course I think this is pretty scary...what do you think Terry thinks? Maybe we should have another poll Kevin?!
Anyway, we will take pics of our pumpkins and you can vote as to who you thinks should win the extended Kriz Fam Pumpkin Carving!
Miss and love you all tons!
Tammy

It's pumpkin carving time...

Should be a good weekend. Kade is super excited. Weather looks promising. See y'all in a couple days!

Welcome to Kriz Family Happenings!
As I was wasting time at work surfing the Internet (as I frequently do) on a few biking blogs, a thought popped into my head -- a blog would be a great way to keep the Kriz family in touch with each other! So... walaah ... here it is, the Kriz Family Happenings blog.
This attempt to keep the family connected electronically will only be as successful as you all make it. In other words -- post and leave comments often! For those not familiar with blogs, it's very simple. Once you sign up with user name and password, you'll have access to post and leave comments on other posts. It's easy, free and you don't need to say anything prolific. If nothing else, just tell us what you did today or yesterday or even this week, we might just enjoy reading about it.
I think this will be a neat way to stay in touch with each other through quick updates and photos. For those of you with digital cameras -- posting a photo is a snap. For those not yet having digital photos (us), we're going shopping soon.
So, without further adieu... post away!
